Is CAN Phantom compatible with my vehicle?
Start with the registration, not an assumption. What a useful compatibility check should establish before you book.

There is no reliable yes-or-no answer from the badge alone
CAN Phantom compatibility depends on the exact make, model and year. Keyless and push-button-start vehicles are a common reason owners consider additional security, but having either feature does not automatically make a vehicle compatible.
AccuKey® checks the vehicle before booking. We do not publish an unverified list of supported makes or infer compatibility from an installation on a similar-looking car. A registration is the starting point; we may need further details to confirm the precise vehicle.
Have these details ready
- Your vehicle registration and the make, model and year as shown in your paperwork.
- Whether the vehicle has keyless entry or push-button start, if you know.
- Any existing aftermarket security or relevant modifications, so the installer can assess the installation rather than guess.
- Your postcode and proposed fitting location, including whether safe access to the vehicle is available.
- Any written security requirements from your insurer that you need the installation to satisfy.
Use the dedicated compatibility journey
The 'Check CAN Phantom compatibility' button opens the dedicated CAN Phantom route in AccuKey IQ. Start there with your vehicle details rather than using the general spare-key quote journey. This article does not itself confirm compatibility or reserve an appointment.
If details are unclear or the vehicle needs further checking, ask AccuKey® before committing. We will not treat a similar model, an online comment or a generic product description as confirmation for your car.
Confirm the routine, not just whether it fits
On a compatible vehicle, CAN Phantom uses a personal, changeable sequence entered through compatible controls already in the car. Ask how you will use those controls day to day and what you will be shown at handover.
Also ask about Valet Mode for a trusted garage or valeter and the emergency PIN card supplied at installation. Keep your personal sequence and emergency information secure. You should understand normal use without having to share the sequence with someone servicing the vehicle.
Compatibility is not the same as insurance acceptance
CAN Phantom states that its CP24 unit is UN116 / R116 certified. AccuKey® does not claim Thatcham approval for CAN Phantom. If your insurer requires a specific approval, obtain confirmation that the proposed product meets your policy's requirement before booking.
The confirmed warranty is the two-year CAN Phantom manufacturer warranty. Do not confuse vehicle compatibility, product certification, manufacturer warranty and insurance acceptance: they answer different questions.
Planning a mobile installation
AccuKey® provides mobile CAN Phantom installation across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire, including Warrington, plus suitable surrounding North West areas. A driveway or car park may be suitable where there is safe access and appropriate conditions; confirm the postcode and location first.
Appointment length depends on the vehicle and installation, so we do not give a universal time estimate. Use the existing CAN Phantom service page for the current supplied-and-fitted offer and regional details, then check your exact vehicle before booking.
