Who we are
AccuKey® is the trading name of James Buckley, a UK sole trader ("AccuKey", "we", "us"), providing specialist mobile vehicle key and vehicle security services across the North West of England. James Buckley trading as AccuKey® is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
As a sole trader, AccuKey® has no Companies House registration number and is not VAT registered. We are a fully mobile service and do not publish a postal address; all work is carried out at your location.
You can contact us at hello@accukey.co.uk or on WhatsApp — our preferred contact method — at 07795 196 908.
Information we collect
- Vehicle details you provide, such as registration, make and model.
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address.
- Service location details needed to attend your vehicle.
- Booking and job records, including work carried out and warranty details.
- Proof-of-ownership documentation where key or immobiliser work requires it.
- Basic technical data from our websites, such as pages visited.
How we use it
- To quote for, schedule and carry out vehicle key and vehicle security work.
- To verify entitlement to keys and security data before work begins.
- To take payment and issue receipts.
- To honour warranty claims and keep job records.
- To respond to enquiries by phone, WhatsApp or email.
Quotes and bookings through AccuKey IQ
Instant quoting and booking is handled by AccuKey IQ, our own quoting system. Vehicle and contact details you enter there are used to price your job and confirm your appointment. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; AccuKey® does not store full card numbers.
Sharing
We share information only where necessary: with our payment provider to take deposits and payments, with vehicle key and security data providers where a job requires authorised access, with the relevant product or service provider where this is needed to activate or administer a product you have bought — for ScorpionTrack, this means the customer and vehicle details needed to register the tracker and activate monitoring — and where we are legally obliged to do so, including for proof-of-ownership and anti-theft obligations.
Keeping information
Job and warranty records are kept for as long as needed to support the work carried out, warranty periods and our legal obligations. Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email hello@accukey.co.uk or message us on WhatsApp and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We may update this policy. The date above shows when it last changed.
